SOUNDBOARD:
Soundboard made of solid mountain spruce, reinforced on both sides with 0.5 mm special soundboard veneer. Thanks to the carefully selected grain orientation of the reinforcement, the soundboard remains elastic and highly responsive—unlike conventional laminated soundboards—while also being less sensitive to climate fluctuations. Ribs made of solid mountain spruce and bridges made of solid red beech with red beech bridge caps.
BACK FRAME – UPRIGHT PIANO:
Five solid, generously dimensioned back posts made of laminated pine form the stable backbone of the upright piano. The high-quality mortise-and-tenon construction supports the vibrating soundboard and absorbs bending forces from the cast iron frame. Soundboard supports made of solid red beech. This premium, climate-stable construction guarantees impressive sound volume and excellent tuning stability.
BACK FRAME – GRAND PIANO:
Depending on the model, three to four solid, generously dimensioned back posts made of laminated pine form the stable backbone of the grand piano and absorb bending forces from the cast iron frame. The rim beam and the soundboard support mounted on it are made of solid red beech.
PINBLOCK:
High-quality pinblock material made of cross-laminated and compressed beech veneers for reliable, even tuning and long-term tuning stability (Delignit).
TUNING PINS:
High-quality tuning pins made of nickel-plated steel. Balanced torque, low torsion, excellent tunability and tuning stability, with plate bushings.
CAST IRON FRAME:
To withstand the enormous string tension, the cast iron frame provides the necessary structural stability. Thanks to careful dimensioning and the traditional technique of manual sand casting, the frame also contributes positively to the tonal characteristics.
STRINGING:
The strings, made of high-quality, tear-resistant piano wire and valuable copper wire, are precisely calculated to achieve maximum possible string lengths, balanced registers with a harmonious overtone structure, and excellent tuning stability.
