Successful premiere: the new C. Bechstein Piano Series in London

Vadym Kholodenko opened our new concert series at a great piano evening.

What a moving night in London: On January 31st we celebrated the premiere of our new C. Bechstein Piano Series at St John’s Smith Square. Vadym Kholodenko played a pan-European program with works by Mozart, Scriabin, Rachmaninov and others at a great piano evening. Pianists from Italy, Georgia, Mexico, Asia and many other countries sat in the audience and were captivated by Kholodenko's wonderful piano playing.

Britain's EU membership ended at midnight and Brexit came into force. But quasi as a sign of friendship between Germany and Great Britain, as a sign of a united Europe, the unifying power of music was clearly noticeable on this historic evening in the concert hall.

We are already looking forward to the next date of the C. Bechstein Piano Series: Boris Giltburg will play works by Beethoven on February 27th.
