Star-studded benefit concert in Cologne’s C. Bechstein Center

Six professors from the Cologne University of Music and Dance recently gave a benefit concert at the city’s C. Bechstein Center in honor of the Carl Bechstein Foundation.

Six professors from the Cologne University of Music and Dance (Gesa Lücker, Florence Millet, Ilja Scheps, Josef Anton Scherrer, Anthony Spiri and Nina Tichman) recently gave a benefit concert at the city’s C. Bechstein Center in honor of the Carl Bechstein Foundation. The brilliant performers played works by Bach, Chopin, Debussy, Schumann, Brahms, Gershwin, Schönberg and many more on a C. Bechstein D 282 concert grand piano.

This event marks the opening of a concert series entitled Bechstein Young Professionals to be given at Cologne’s C. Bechstein center. The series comprises ten concerts featuring fifteen piano students from the Cologne University of Music and Dance. During the next event, to be held on February 2 at 6:00 PM, Dongjun Kim and Yuhao Guo will present works by Haydn, Brahms, Beethoven and Liszt. Admission is free. Reservations are required, however.
