Sir András Schiff builds bridges at C. Bechstein Piano Recitals 2023 in Vienna

After extensive renovation, the historic Ehrbar Saal in the fourth district of Vienna's city center shines in new splendour. Best time for the series of C. Bechstein piano recitals in Vienna to open in January.

After several successful seasons in the Konzerthaus Berlin and the Brucknerhaus Linz, the C. Bechstein recitals are now coming to Vienna. The series showcases young talents like Aaron Pilsan and Haiou Zhang who are at the beginning of great careers. A special feature of the C. Bechstein Vienna Piano Recitals is the cooperation with Sir András Schiff's program for young, "Building Bridges". On two evenings he will present his personally selected protégés, Itai Navon from Israel and the American Avery Gagliano. Sir András Schiff emphasizes: “It is a particular pleasure for me to work with the C. Bechstein company, which treats its instruments just as carefully [as 'Building Bridges' does with young pianists] and is involved in important venues and series to establish and expand across Europe. I am proud and grateful to be able to present “Building Bridges” in the Ehrbar Saal in Vienna at the invitation of C. Bechstein.”
