International German Piano Award 2017

The International German Piano Award 2017, which carries EUR 20,000 in prize money, will be presented by International Piano Forum Frankfurt in collaboration with C. Bechstein in Frankfurt from April 3 to 5.

In 2017, the International German Piano Award, which includes EUR 20,000 in prize money and other substantial funding opportunities, will be held in Frankfurt from April 3 to 5. Talented young pianists are invited to apply. For their first-round applications, the pianists need to submit a 30-minute DVD demonstrating the versatility of their solo repertoire.

For the grand final, where the entrants will be performing with an orchestra, they can choose one of the following three works: Piano Concerto No. 5 by Ludwig van Beethoven, Piano Concerto No. 2 by Johannes Brahms and Piano Concerto No. 3 by Sergei Rachmaninoff. Entries will be accepted from May 2 to December 5, 2016. The semi-final will take place on April 4 and the final on April 5, 2017.
