GrauSchumacher Piano Duo recorded on two C. Bechstein Grand Pianos

GrauSchumacher Piano Duo just released the new album "concerti III" - recorded on two C. Bechstein D 282

The German Label NEOS just released a new CD of the GrauSchumacher Piano. Andreas Grau and Götz Schumacher recorded double piano concertos by Francis Poulenc, Colin McPhee and John Adams with Trio Mediaeval and the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin under Brad Lubman at the famous Teldex studio Berlin. The pianists performed on two C. Bechstein grand pianos D 282, serviced by C. Bechstein concert technician Torben Garlin. Deutschlandradio Kultur produced with Rainer Pöllmann (Executive Producer) and Florian B. Schmidt (Recording Producer) the recording.

Beside Francis Poulenc’s wellknown Concerto en ré mineur you can find with „Tabuh-Tabuhan“ by Colin McPee (a toccata for orchestra and two pianos) and „Grand Pianola Music“ for two pianos, three female voces, wind ensemble and percussion by John Adams two really worth hearing modern works, which are characterized by the Minimal Music. Congratulations to this marvelous recording!
