“The Little Piano-makers,” the first event in the series, was specially developed for children, based on very successful similar events held at various C. Bechstein Centers in recent years. Nearly one hundred children enjoyed the launching event with their parents on Saturday, September 23, 2017 – and also had the chance to win a W.Hoffmann upright piano made by C. Bechstein Europe at the Hradec Králové manufactory.
The next event in the series will be held in December 2017, presenting the C. Bechstein Vario mute, a device that can be retrofitted in recent upright and grand pianos to provide all the advantages of a digital instrument.
The series of events will conclude its first season in March 2018, with an open day, offering a full program of cultural events and an opportunity to visit the areas of the Hradec Králové manufactory dedicated to the production of uprights and grand pianos. A number of instruments will be presented for viewing and even playing by the visitors. As at the launching event on September 23, the public will again be given a chance to win a W.Hoffmann piano. C. Bechstein Europe is looking forward to another huge turnout!
