A summer in France: Cellist Gautier Capuçon on tour with C. Bechstein

Together with young talents, he enriches cultural life in rural French towns.

For the third time, the internationally renowned French cellist Gautier Capuçon is touring through rural towns and villages across the country under the motto "Un été en France" (A Summer in France). His goal: To strengthen cultural life in these regions with music at free open-air concerts. At the same time, Capuçon offers young talents a stage on this tour.

At the concerts, Gautier Capuçon presents himself alternately in a duo with the French pianists Frank Braley and Jérôme Ducros. Capuçon, who is also a juror on the French TV talent show "Prodiges" and a well-known promoter of young talent, is also giving 14 young musicians the opportunity to appear as his opening act. These include pianists, accordionists, guitarists and many more.

A C. Bechstein D 282 concert grand piano and a C. Bechstein concert technician accompany the musicians throughout the tour.

The start of "Un été en France" took place in Capuçon's hometown of Chambéry. The tour runs until July 24, 2022 and includes a total of 15 concerts.
