Czech multi-talent Kryštof Marek will showcase his multifaceted work in a colorful program.

A contemporary composer, conductor, pianist, arranger and songwriter; he has been active since the late 1980’s in many musical and theatrical projects in the widest variety of genres.
He collaborates with symphony orchestras across the Czech republic, with which he presents his own creative work. In 2012 it was the violin concerto „Key to the Gardens", which he wrote for Gabriela Demeterová. In 2014 there were three premieres of his original compositions: the concerto for English horn „Heart of the Gardens“ with the Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra (solo J. Tomšíčková), a Cycle of 12 symphonic songs with the Pardubice Chamber Philharmonic (solo Marina Vyskvorkina, Gabriela Demeterová and Sára Marková Bukovská), and the piano concerto „Gateway to the Gardens“ with the Karlovy Vary Symphony Orchestra (solo J. Wolf Jr.). K. Marek recorded his extensive inter-genre composition „Sinael Jazz Symphony“ with the same orchestra. In 2016 he premiered his composition Midnight Pictures – a vocal jazz suite.
At the Laterna Magica the National Theatre presented 5 years his stage music „Legends of magic Prague“, which he introduced in a concert premiere with the Czech National Symphony Orchestra, with which he cooperates closely. He is a regular guest at the Prague Proms International Music Festival. He collaborates with the Studio DVA theatre company, for which he created the music and wrote song lyrics for performances of „A Christmas Carol“ and „Little Girl – a Christmas story“.
In cooperation with Czech Radio he has created more than 30 musical dramatizations. He has released numerous CDs, including „Angels‘ Crying in My Head, Angels‘ Laughter in My Heart“ featuring Tony Lakatos; Legends of Magic Prague; Calm Presence; Sinael Jazz Symphony; Mysterium of St. John of Nepomuk; Midnight Pictures and among others).
