Simone Pedroni

Simone Pedroni, born in Italy, studied among others with Lazar Berman, Piero Rattalino and Franco Scala at the Academia Pianistica in Imola. Simone Pedroni is award winner at important competitions and has won, among other things, second prize at the Arthur Rubinstein Competition in Tel Aviv as well as first prize at the Queen Sonja Piano Competition in Oslo and at the Van Cliburn Piano Competition. Thereafter, Pedroni has collaborated with important orchestras such as the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Oslo Philharmonic, Santa Cecilia Orchestra Rome, Vienna Chamber Orchestra and with such conductors as Riccardo Chailly, Eliahu Inbal, Sir Yehudi Menuhin and Zubin Metha. Simone Pedroni has recorded CDs with La Bottega Discantica, LOL Records, Philips Classics and U.I.O.D.G. In 2006 Simone Pedroni debuted in Berlin "on a wonderful grand piano by Bechstein" and later praised "this singing instrument."
