Konstanze Eickhorst

Konstanze Eickhorst, born 1961, studied with Karl-Heinz Kämmerling in Hanover and Vlado Perlemuter in Paris. She won first prize at the Clara Haskil and Géza-Anda competitions. There followed recitals at festivals in Berliln, Lucerne, Montreux, Ravinia and Salzburg, performances with orchestras such as Toronto Symphony, Orchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Tonhalle Orchester Zurich, under conductors like Christoph Eschenbach, Ferdinand Leitner and Sándor Végh. As chamber musician she has collalborated with the Carmina Quartet and Melos Quartet. She is constant member of the Linos Ensemble. In 1989 she became the youngest professor at the Hanover University of Music and Drama, in 1998 she followed a call to the Music University Lübeck. She is juror of national and international competitions, holds master courses. Extensive discography with Bella Musica and cpo.
