Konstantin Scherbakov, born in Barnaul, Siberia. Study with Lev Naumov at the Moscow Tschaikowsky Conservatory, competition successes among others at the Rachmaninow Competition Moscow, in Bozen, Montreal, Rome and Zurich. Konstantin Scherbakov performed all of Rachmaninow's piano compositions at the International Chamber Music Festival in Asolo, has appeared in concerts and tours throughout Europe, played at the most important festivals (among others Schubertiade Feldkirch, Piano Festival Ruhr, Lucerne Festival), made numerous radio and TV recordings and presented recitals and concerts with orchestras worldwide. More than 20 CD recordings for "Marco Polo" and "Naxos."

Konstantin Scherbakov won the coveted prize of the German Record Critics 2001 and the Cannes Classical Award. Exceptionally extensive and diversified repertoire. Konstantin Scherbakov is professor at the University for Music Winterthur-Zurich. After a concert in Berlin, he said, "It was with great joy that I (finally) was able to play again on a wonderful Bechstein."
