Tbilisi Piano Fest 2023

World-famous pianists perform at 4th Tbilisi Piano Fest, which takes place every year in the capital of Georgia.

Tbilisi Piano Fest founded by the Georgian pianist Dudana Mazmanishvili has been annually held in Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia for already four years. C. Bechstein has been its partner and supporter through every step of the way. Unforgettable concert series and master-classes conducted by the world acclaimed pianists at the National Youth Palace were offered to the Georgian students, professional musicians and music lovers during the 4th festival from June 8 to 18, 2023.

The opening evening of the festival, held at the State Library, was entrusted to Simon Ghraichy with the Spanish repertoire; and on the next day Tbilisi Piano Fest represented an outstanding Italian pianist - Francesco Libetta. The following four recitals hosted at the Tbilisi State Conservatoire Grand Hall and performed by Alexei Volodin, Nikolas Namoradze, Konstantin Lifschitz, and the legendary Cyprien Katsaris, truly kept the audience captured and mesmerized.

The last two open-air concerts on the beautiful Orbeliani Square became another highlight of this year's edition: The grandiose collaboration of Mariam Batsashvili and the Georgian Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of Maestro Nikoloz Rachveli in the interpretation of Liszt's Piano Concerto impressed us as well the characterful performance of Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 2 performed by Dudana Mazmanishvili and GPO conducted by Sir Giuseppe Mentuccia.
