C. Bechstein is a partner of the newly founded “Megève Festival Savoy Truffle” to be held from August 17 to September 2, 2018. A city famous in particular for its chocolate truffles, Megève will gather international artists to participate in a two-week program that includes concerts, shows and panel discussions, as well as a series of events related to composers and their works.
Among the participants are Valentina Lisitsa, who will interpret Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 2, Michel Dalberto, the cross-over star Uri Caine, the violinist Renaud Capuçon, the pianist Guillaume Bellom and the harpist Xavier de Maistre. The recitals will be rounded out by talks and thematic events dedicated to such personalities of the music world as Johannes Brahms and Alma Mahler-Werfel. One particular event will be dedicated to Artur Schnabel, a fan of Bechstein pianos, with the screening of a film about the pianist’s life.
