Zlata Chochieva: Mirror Scenes

On 22 September 2023, Zlata Chochieva will play works by Schumann, Scharwenka, Liszt, Ravel and others in C. Bechstein Piano Recital in the Konzerthaus.

Zlata Chochieva studied with Mikhail Pletnev at Moscow Central Music School, Pavel Nersessian at Moscow Tchaikovsky Concervatory and later with Jacques Rouvier at the Salzburg Mozarteum University, where she worked as her teacher’s assistant for many years. She is prizewinner of many international piano competitions: she received the Mozart special prize at the ARD Music Competition, Silver Medal at the first International Piano Competition of Santa Catarina (Brazil), as well as Audience Award and the Best Chopin Interpreter at the Chopin Competition. Zlata Chochieva is active on many great concert stages, including the Munich Herkulesaal, the Amsterdam Concertgebouw, the Wigmore Hall, the Vienna Konzerthaus, the Paris Philharmonie, the Teatro La Fenice in Venice, the Berlin Konzerthaus, the Geneva Victoria Hall, in the Tivoli Copenhagen and the St. Petersburg Philharmonic. She has worked with major orchestras and conductors such as Tugan Sokhiev and Vladimir Spivakov. Zlata Chochieva founded the International Rachmaninoff Festival at the composer's estate in Ivanovka and has been directing it since 2018.
