Robert Neumann is the winner of numerous national and international competitions, including the 2025 Deutscher Musikwettbewerb, the 2025 Deutscher Pianistenpreis, the OPUS KLASSIK Emerging Artist Award, and the SWR Kultur New Talent Award. He has performed at the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival, the Schwetzingen Festival, Kissinger Sommer, the Menuhin Festival Gstaad, the Lucerne Festival, and the Classical Bridge Festival New York, among others. He made his orchestral debut at the age of eight with the SWR Symphony Orchestra; subsequent performances have taken him to the Liechtenstein Symphony Orchestra, the Brandenburg State Orchestra, the German State Philharmonic Orchestra of Rhineland-Palatinate, and the Gewandhaus Orchestra in Leipzig. He has worked with conductors such as Dan Ettinger, Yaron Traub, and Johannes Klumpp. In 2026, he will perform at the Beethoven Haus in Bonn, the Mendelssohn Haus in Leipzig, the Schumann Haus in Bonn, the Sommets Musicaux de Gstaad, and the Heidelberger Frühling. Neumann composes piano sonatas, chamber music, and violin concertos, which have been premiered by Julia Fischer, Benjamin Nyffenegger, and Alexey Stadler, among others. In 2024, he founded the Cannstatter Klavierfrühling festival. His recordings have been released by Deutsche Grammophon, SWRmusic/Naxos, and Genuin. He studied with Monika Giurgiuman and Elza Kolodin and completed his concert exam under Eldar Nebolsin in Berlin.
