DENYS PROSHAYEV and NADIA MOKHTARI, two successful solo performers, have been playing in duo at regular intervals for more than four years.
Denys Proshayev was born in Brest, Belarus, in 1978. He studied in Hanover under Vladimir Krainev and Eiji Oue, who taught him conducting. He has enjoyed an international career ever since he won First Prize at the 2002 ARD Competition. Denys has recorded numerous albums, including a Sony CD with works by Rameau.
Nadia Mokhtari studied at the music conservatory in Paris under Brigitte Engerer, at the Royal College of Music in London under Andrew Ball and at the Folkwang Universität der Künste under Boris Bloch. She won First Prizes at the Concours international de piano de Paris and the Concours international de Radio-France, which launched her international career.
