Irma Gigani, born in 1996 in Tbilisi, started playing the piano at the age of five. She studied at the Music Seminar in Tbilisi and continued her studies at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna with Prof. Stefan Arnold in master and postgraduate studies. She is a laureate of the International Competition of Aarhus, Denmark, as well as the International Piano Competition Les Étoiles du Piano and "star du piano" Lille, France. In 2021 Irma won first prize and two special prizes at the Bechstein-Bruckner Competition in Linz, Austria. Irma Gigani performs internationally with symphony orchestras under famous conductors and gives recitals. She has performed at the Mozarthaus in Vienna, the Festival des Pianos Folies in France, the Tbilisi Piano Festival, the Vienna Musikverein and Ehrbar Saal in Vienna, the Salle Cortot in Paris, the Konzerthaus in Berlin and the Vatican Radio Hall in Rome. At the Naarden International Piano Festival, Holland, she gave a recital alongside Alexander Melnikov, Hannes Minnaar and Alfred Brendel.
