Ukrainian pianist Dmytro Choni studied in Kiev and graduated from the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz. He gained international attention by winning prizes at international piano competitions such as Van Cliburn 2022, Leeds 2021 and Paloma O'Shea Santander 2018. As a soloist, Dmytro Choni has worked with conductors such as Andrew Manze, Nicholas McGegan and Oksana Lyniv and performed at the Kissinger Sommer, Verbier Festival and Beethovenfest Bonn, among others. Concerts have taken him to Wigmore Hall London, Carnegie Hall New York, Salle Cortot Paris, Musikverein and Konzerthaus Vienna, Palau de la Música, Auditorio Nacional de Música Madrid and Teatro Colón Buenos Aires. His debut album was released by Naxos in 2020 and received the Supersonic Award from Pizzicato magazine. His first album for naïve records was released in 2025 with works by Debussy, Liszt, Silvestrov and Liebermann. As a chamber musician, he has worked with Arabella Steinbacher and Mari Samuelsen, Julian Steckel, Sharon Kam, Nils Mönkemeyer, and Frank Peter Zimmermann, among others.
