Anna Zassimova is an artist of great stylistic versatility. Her creative intensity, especially in the music of Chopin, Schumann and Brahms, has been praised by the international press both in her concerts at important festivals such as the Ruhr Piano Festival, in important concert halls such as the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg and in her extensive discography. Born in Moscow and trained both as a musician and as an art historian with the respective degrees, she received her doctorate in musicology in Karlsruhe and perfected her piano playing with Michael Uhde and Markus Stange. The latter gave her access to the music of Nono, Stockhausen, Messiaen and others and enabled her to meet the composer Wolfgang Rihm. Her solo album Sonata Reminiscenza (Hänssler Classic) was nominated for the Opus Klassik Prize and received the Pure Sound Award for classical music records 2019 in Moscow. In 2022 the French label Melism released their latest CD recording with works by Brahms, Schumann, Liszt and Godowski. In 2023 her third Chopin album was released by the Swedish label BIS.

Programme
Franz Liszt: Année de Pèlerinage II (Auswahl)
Claude Debussy: Estampes
