"In 2026, I had a valuable opportunity to play several Bechstein grand pianos during the German Pianist Prize in Kronberg. The C. Bechstein D 282 concert grand in particular impressed in the final round with its perfect regulation, responsive and supple pedals, and a diplomatic tone quality that allows every player to transfer their own sound to the instrument to the greatest possible extent without being overly influenced by it. It thus provides an equal playing field, even for players who seek extremes."
