Robert Leonardy, born in Thuringia, is award winner of international piano competitions. Among others, he won first prize at the International Piano Competition in Paris. He is professor for piano at the University for Music Saar. Robert Leonardy is initiator and Artistic Director of the successful Music Festival Saar. He has received the Saarland Art Prize and the Saarbrücken Culture Prize. Distinctions as top officer of the British Empire as well as Hungary's and Spain's Order of Cultural Merit awards. Numerous records and CD recordings as well as radio and TV programs.
Today Robert Leonardy is among the most interesting German pianists with a repertoire from pre-classic to the present.
