Bernd Glemser

Bernd Glemser, born 1962 in Dürbheim, studied with Vitaly Margulis. Bernd Glemser is award winner at 17 international competitions (among others ARD, Busoni, Callas, Cortot, Rubinstein and Tschaikowsky). In 1989 Bernd Glemser became the youngest professor in Germany at the Music University in Saarbrücken. Concert activity in Australia, Canada, China, Hong Kong, Japan, New Zealand and South america. Soloist among others at the Philadelphia Orchestra and Gewandhausorchester Leipzig. Bernd Glemser is constant guest musician at the Schubertiade Feldkirch, Piano Festival Ruhr etc. Winner of the European Andor Foldes Prize and the European Pianist Prize. Numerous recordings for Naxos and Oehms Classics, among which his recording of Schumann's Sonatas No. 1 and 3 were chosen eight times as CD of the Month. Bernd Glemser is professor at the Würzburg Music University.
