Philippe Cassard was awarded first prize at the 1988 Dublin Piano Competition and has performed with such outstanding ensembles as the London Philharmonic Orchestra, the BBC Philharmonic and the Orchestre National de France. He has also performed as a soloist, a lieder and a chamber music pianist. Moreover, he recorded all of Debussy’s piano works on a CD, which was awarded the Grand Prix de l’Académie du Disque in 1994. Together with Cédric Pescia, he also recorded Schubert’s four-hand works under the La Dolce Vita label (“Choc de l’année 2014”, Classica). A laureate of the 2002 “International Artists” competition organised by the Gina Bachauer International Foundation in Salt Lake City, Cédric Pescia has performed at the world’s greatest venues, including Carnegie Hall, Wigmore Hall, Berlin’s Philharmonic Hall and Hamburg’s Musikhalle. Several highly acclaimed CDs with works by Bach, Schumann, Beethoven, Couperin, Messiaen and Debussy also contributed to his fame.
