Dudana Mazmanishvili, born in 1980 in Tbilisi, debuted with the Georgian National Orchestra when she was eight years old. In 1998, Elisso Virsaladze invited her to come to Munich, where she stayed until 2005 when she left to perfect her art in New York under Jerome Rose.
Dudana is a laureate of numerous international piano competitions, including the Busoni Competition (Bolzano), the Washington International Piano Competition, the Concours Nicolai-Rubinstein (Paris), the Nadia Reisenberg Award (New York) and the August-Everding-Wettbewerb (Munich). Among the highlights in her career are a first recital at Carnegie Hall in 2006, as well as performances at the Philips Collection Washington, the Munich Residenz, the Salle Cortot in Paris, the Musikverein in Vienna and the Konzerthaus in Berlin.
Her first recording, published in 2006 on the Oehms Classics label, includes works by Bach, Busoni, Liszt and Rachmaninoff and was selected by Radio Bayern 4 as “CD of the Month”. Further recordings with works by Bach and Schumann are scheduled for 2018.
Among her performances in the last years are her very successful appearance at the 2015 Klavier-Festival Ruhr, as well as her brilliant interpretation of Beethoven’s Third piano concerto at Berlin’s Philharmonic Hall.
