Yo Kosuge

 Yu Kosuge was born 1983 in Tokyo and lives since 1993 in Europe. She debuted with the Tokyo New City Orchestra at the age of 9. In the meantime, the "expressive personality" (FAZ) is due to her outstanding technique, wonderfully cultivated attack and her penetrating understanding for music makes her one of the most observed young pianists in the world. Concerts in the most important music centers of the world, in Europe (among others Konzerthaus Berllin, Musikhalle Hamburg, Philharmonic Cologne, Herkulessaal Munich), Japan and USA (Carnegie Hall in New York.) Yu Kosuge maintains active collaboration with famous conductors like Gerd Albrecht, Rudolf Barschai, Myung-Whun Chung und well-known orchestras such as NDR Symphony Orchestra Hamburg, Berlin Symphony Orchestra, Petersburg Symphony and Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France Paris. With her interpretation of Liszt's Transcendental Etudes she is in first place on Japan's classic charts. Nippon Steel Award for the greatest international talent in Japan. Yu Kosuge has recorded numerous CDs for Sony Classical.
