Mizuka Kano

Mizuka Kano, born 1978 in Tokyo, received at the age of 4 the first piano instruction from his mother, studied at the Toho Gakuen University in Tokyo and has been working since 2003 at the University of Arts in Berlin with Klaus Hellwig. Mizuka Kano already won a prize in 1998 at the National Competition of Japan, 2002 second prize at the 1st International Rachmaninow Competition in California, 2005 first prize and the Public's Prize at the Viotti Competition in Vercelli (Italy), and finally in 2008 gold medal at the 15th International Robert Schumann Competition in Zwickau. Mizuka Kano has held numerous piano and chamber music evenings in Austria, Germany, Great Britain, Italy, Japan and USA. She also has played among other places with the Moscow Radio Symphony Orchestra, Pasadena Philharmonic Orchestra, Orchestra Sinfonica di San Remo, Minami Osawa Orchestra (Japan) and Munich Chamber Orchestra.
