Igor Kamenz

Igor Kamenz was born 1968 in Chabarowsk (Siberia). He is pianist and conductor, student of Vitaly Margulis and Sergiu Celibidache. Igor Kamenz has won many prizes sensationally, among others 18 first prizes at international competitions (for example Senigállia, "Claude Kahn," Zaragoza "Pilar Bayona," Vercelli "Viotti" and "Deutscher Musikrat") and 15 second prizes, among others at the Busoni Competition and "Franz Liszt Competition" in Budapest. He has given concerts at the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival, Munich Herkulessaal and Gasteig, Frankfurt Alte Oper, Kennedy Center in Washington, Salle Gaveau in Paris, Birmingham Symphony Hall, Salzburg Mozarteum, "International Musikfestspielen Saar" and Busoni Festival. Igor Kamenz completed a tour as soloist of the Classic Philharmonic Bonn. Concert tours have led him through China, England, Iceland, Italy and Russia. Igor Kamenz has published CDs under the Oehms Classics label, among others. Igor Kamenz, "supremely romantic genius" (Attila Csampai, Stereoplay) and „Titan of the piano“ (International Piano), captures audiences with the "finest nuances" and "nearly incomprehensible virtuosity" (Frankfurt Allgemeine Zeitung).
